Unique performance of Prince on Saturday Night Live

news14.10 Prince screenshotAt3.49.53

Prince will perform on Saturday Night Live on November 1st. Not only will his appearance mark his first on the show since 2006, but it will also be an especially unique moment in SNL’s musical history.

Instead of following the show’s usual two-song format for musical guests, Prince will perform one uninterrupted “8-minute long jam session”. While it remains a surprise what songs or mix of songs he will present, it’s safe to say that if anyone could convince the conventional NBC program to do something so exceptional, it’d be the great Purple One. The episode will be hosted by comedian Chris Rock.
Prince’s SNL appearance comes in continued support of his new solo album “Art Official Age”, as well as the debut album from his current band 3rdEyeGirl “Plectrumelectrum”.
