Joanne Shenandoah wins another NAMA Award

Congratulations to singer-songwriter Joanne Shenandoah for winning with her latest album “Nature Dance” another Native American Music Award, this year in the category "Best World Music Recording".
 

Grammy Award winner Joanne Shenandoah, one of America’s most celebrated and critically acclaimed artists, counts already more than 40 music awards, including an all time record of 14 Native American Music Awards. The Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Joanne Shenandoah has also been praised for her work to promote universal peace.

Her daughter, Leah Shenandoah (Oneida), is now holding her first NAMA award in her hands. She has won in the category “Debut Artist of the Year” and was also nominated for “Best Pop Recording”, both for her first solo album “Spektre”.
